In Friday's non-league contest, the Boerne Greyhounds (Boerne, TX) softball team held off the host Alice Coyotes (Alice, TX), by a margin of 2-1.
With the triumph, Boerne moves its record to 10-6 on the year. The Greyhounds travel to Hebbronville (Hebbronville, TX) to play the Longhorns in a non-league contest on Saturday, March 4. The Longhorns come into the contest with a record of 4-2. Hebbronville lost 8-2 in their recent non-league contest against Stevens (San Antonio, TX)
In their next game, the Coyotes play the Seguin Matadors (Seguin, TX) in a non-league contest, on Saturday, March 4. Alice will attempt to move on its 6-6 season record. The Matadors come into the contest with a 12-5 record after their 8-3 non-league win over Leander (Leander, TX).
