In Friday's non-league contest, the East Central Hornets (Moss Point, MS) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Bay Tigers (Bay St. Louis, MS), by a margin of 12-2.
With the triumph, East Central moves its record to 4-2 on the year. The Hornets host Pascagoula (Pascagoula, MS) to play the Panthers in a non-league contest on Monday, March 6. The Panthers come into the contest with a record of 0-1. Pascagoula lost 6-5 in their recent non-league contest against Hancock (Kiln, MS)
In their next game, the Tigers play the Pass Christian Pirates (Pass Christian, MS) in a 4A Region 8 contest, on Tuesday, March 21. Bay will attempt to move on its 0-3 season record.
