The crowd at Friday's non-league match between the Southern Lee Cavaliers (Sanford, NC) and the host Overhills Jaguars (Spring Lake, NC), saw Southern Lee's softball squad achieve victory over Overhills by a count of 20-7.

The Cavaliers now sport a 3-0 record. They take the field next when they host Richmond for a Sandhills 3A/4A match on Tuesday, March 7. Southern Lee will face a Raiders squad coming off a 4-3 non-league win over Montgomery Central (Troy, NC). The Raiders record now stands at 2-0.

With the loss, Overhills falls to 0-2 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Triton (Erwin, NC) to face the Hawks in a All American 3A/4A match on Tuesday, March 7. The Hawks enter the match with a record of 2-1. Triton won 15-5 in their recent non-league match against North Johnston (Kenly, NC)
