The Walnut Ridge Bobcats baseball team scored 15 runs and held the visiting Calico Rock Pirates to 0 in the Bobcats non-league win on Monday.

The Bobcats now own a 2-0 record. They take the field next when they travel to Newport for a 3A Region 3 test on Thursday, March 6. Walnut Ridge will play a Greyhounds team coming off a 12-7 non-league loss to Bald Knob (Bald Knob, AR). The Greyhounds record now stands at 0-1.

With the defeat, Calico Rock drops to 0-2 on the year. The Pirates travel to Concord (Concord, AR) to play the Pirates in a 1A Region 2 test on Tuesday, March 4. The Pirates go into the test with a record of 0-0.
