The Elkin Buckin' Elks baseball team scored 4 runs and held the host North Wilkes Vikings to 0 in the Buckin' Elks non-league win on Monday.
The Buckin' Elks now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Statesville for a non-league test on Friday, March 7. Elkin will clash with a Greyhounds team coming off a 7-3 non-league win over West Caldwell (Lenoir, NC). The Greyhounds record now stands at 1-1.
With the defeat, North Wilkes drops to 2-1 on the year. The Vikings travel to Starmount (Boonville, NC) to clash with the Rams in a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. The Rams go into the test with a record of 1-2. Starmount lost 19-9 in their recent non-league test against Forbush (East Bend, NC)
