The Leland Cubs baseball team scored 20 runs and held the visiting South Delta Bulldogs to 4 in the Cubs league win on Monday.
The Cubs now own a 1-3 record. They take the field next when they host Amanda Elzy for a non-league test on Thursday, March 6. Leland will clash with a Panthers team coming off a 15-0 league loss to Winona (Winona, MS). The Panthers record now stands at 2-4.
With the defeat, South Delta drops to 0-1 on the year. The Bulldogs travel to West Tallahatchie (Webb, MS) to clash with the Choctaws in a 1A Region 5 test on Tuesday, March 18. The Choctaws go into the test with a record of 0-0.
