The Choctaw Central Warriors softball team scored 16 runs and held the visiting Starkville Yellowjackets to 6 in the Warriors non-league win on Monday.

The Warriors now sport a 5-1 record. They put it on the line next when they host Northeast Lauderdale for a 4A Region 4 battle on Tuesday, March 4. Choctaw Central will confront a Trojans team coming off a 14-3 non-league win over Southeast Lauderdale (Meridian, MS). The Trojans record now stands at 7-0.

With the loss, Starkville moves to 3-4 on the season. The Yellowjackets travel to Tupelo (Tupelo, MS) to confront the Golden Wave in a 7A Region 2 battle on Tuesday, March 4. The Golden Wave come into the battle with a record of 1-6. Tupelo lost 12-7 in their recent non-league battle against West Union (Myrtle, MS)
