The crowd at Tuesday's non-league bout between the Jay Royals (Jay, FL) and the visiting Blacksher Bulldogs (Uriah, AL), observed Jay's softball team get by Blacksher by a tally of 7-6.

The Royals (1-0) will now prepare for their bout against Opp (Opp, AL). The Bobcats go into the non-league bout with a 1-3 record. In their last bout, Opp was nipped by Wicksburg (Newton, AL), 5-0, in a non-league bout.

In their next game, the Bulldogs battle the Chickasaw Chieftains (Chickasaw, AL) in a 2A Area 1 bout, on Thursday, March 5. Blacksher will attempt to improve on its 9-1 season record. The Chieftains enter the contest with a 0-3 record after their 35-1 non-league loss to Pine Forest (Pensacola, FL).
