Texas High School Softball - Marshall held off by Lufkin

In Tuesday's league test, the Lufkin Panthers (Lufkin, TX) softball squad got by the visiting Marshall Mavericks (Marshall, TX), by a tally of 4-3.

Next, the Panthers clash with the Jacksonville Fightin' Indians (Jacksonville, TX) in a 5A Region II District 10 outing, on Friday, March 6. Lufkin will attempt to advance on its 7-12 season record.

The Mavericks (11-7) will now prepare for their test against Whitehouse (Whitehouse, TX). The Wildcats go into the 5A Region II District 10 test with a 13-6 record. In their last test, Whitehouse held off Mt. Pleasant (Mt. Pleasant, TX), 6-5, in a league test.
