The Cape Fear Colts got by the visiting Scotland Fighting Scots baseball team by a count of 5-4 in Wednesday's non-league bout.

The Colts now possess a 6-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Lumberton for a United Eight 3A/4A bout on Friday, April 1. Cape Fear will face a Pirates team coming off a 9-2 league win over Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC). The Pirates record now stands at 5-4.

Next, the Fighting Scots face the Marlboro County Bulldogs (Bennettsville, SC) in a non-league bout, on Thursday, March 31. Scotland will attempt to move on its 10-1 season record. The Bulldogs enter the bout with a 4-2 record after their 15-0 league win over Crestwood (Sumter, SC).
