The Starr's Mill Panthers baseball team scored 14 runs and limited the visiting Griffin Bears to 0 in the Panthers league victory on Wednesday.
The Panthers (9-9) will now prepare for their match against Whitewater (Fayetteville, GA). The Wildcats go into the AAAAA Region 2 match with a 15-5 record. In their last match, Whitewater gained a win over East Coweta (Sharpsburg, GA), 1-0, in a non-league match.
The Bears (2-15) will now prepare for their match against Northgate (Newnan, GA). The Vikings go into the AAAAA Region 2 match with a 5-16 record. In their last match, Northgate was overwhelmed by Northside (Columbus, GA), 9-6, in a league match.
