Fremont Firebirds (Sunnyvale, CA) supporters left the game in high spirits Wednesday as they observed their volleyball squad hold off the visiting Wilcox Chargers (Santa Clara, CA), 3-2 in a league game.

The Firebirds now possess a 6-4 record. They put it on the line next when they travel to Santa Clara for a SCVAL - El Camino game on Friday, April 1. Fremont will meet a Bruins team coming off a 3-0 league win over Gunn (Palo Alto, CA). The Bruins record now stands at 2-9.

The Chargers (4-5) will now prepare for their game against Los Altos (Los Altos, CA). The Eagles enter the SCVAL - El Camino game with a 10-9 record. In their last game, Los Altos was nudged by Palo Alto (Palo Alto, CA), 3-2, in a league game.
