In Wednesday's league battle, the host Southwestern Randolph Cougars soccer squad scored a close 8-1 win over the Eastern Randolph Wildcats.
The Cougars (7-2) will now prepare for their battle against Wheatmore (Trinity, NC). The Warriors go into the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle with a 8-0 record. In their last battle, Wheatmore nipped Southwest Guilford (High Point, NC), 4-0, in a non-league battle.
The Wildcats (0-3) will now prepare for their battle against Uwharrie Charter (Asheboro, NC). The Eagles go into the Piedmont Athletic 1A/2A battle with a 3-1 record.
