In Wednesday's non-league challenge, the Carroll County Cavaliers (Hillsville, VA) baseball squad edged the visiting Blacksburg Bruins (Blacksburg, VA), by a final score of 2-1.
With the win, Carroll County upgrades its record to 2-0 on the year. The Cavaliers travel to Byrd (Vinton, VA) to clash with the Terriers in a non-league game on Friday, April 1. The Terriers go into the game with a record of 1-3. Byrd lost 5-1 in their recent non-league game against Franklin County (Rocky Mount, VA)
The Bruins (1-2) will now prepare for their game against Christiansburg (Christiansburg, VA). The Blue Demons go into the non-league game with a 1-1 record. In their last game, Christiansburg tipped Salem (Salem, VA), 9-8, in a non-league game.
