Springville Tigers (Springville, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Ardmore Tigers (Ardmore, AL), 5-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Tigers now own a 14-5 record. They take the field next when they host Gardendale for a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Springville will battle a Rockets squad coming off a 9-3 non-league win over Corner (Warrior, AL). The Rockets record now stands at 12-9.

With the loss, Ardmore falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Tigers travel to West Limestone (Lester, AL) to battle the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 4. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 7-3. West Limestone won 10-8 in their recent non-league challenge against James Clemens (Madison, AL)
