In Wednesday's league contest, the Gwynn Park Yellowjackets (Brandywine, MD) softball team overwhelmed the visiting Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North Lions (Laurel, MD), by a margin of 13-8.
With the triumph, Gwynn Park moves its record to 2-0 on the year. The Yellowjackets travel to Oxon Hill (Oxon Hill, MD) to play the Clippers in a Prince George's County 4A contest on Thursday, March 31. The Clippers come into the contest with a record of 0-0.
In their next game, the Lions play the Laurel Spartans (Laurel, MD) in a non-league contest, on Monday, April 18. Chesapeake Math & IT Academy North will attempt to move on its 0-1 season record.
