Kentucky High School Softball - Magoffin County bounces Floyd Central

March 30, 2022: Salyersville, KY 41465

The crowd at Wednesday's non-league match between the Magoffin County Hornets (Salyersville, KY) and the visiting Floyd Central Jaguars (Eastern, KY), saw Magoffin County's softball squad achieve victory over Floyd Central by a count of 13-3.

The Hornets now sport a 3-3 record. They take the field next when they host Betsy Layne for a non-league match on Friday, April 1. Magoffin County will face a Bobcats squad coming off a 22-0 league loss to Lawrence County (Louisa, KY). The Bobcats record now stands at 0-4.

With the loss, Floyd Central falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Prestonsburg (Prestonsburg, KY) to face the Black Cats in a District 58 match on Thursday, March 31. The Black Cats enter the match with a record of 2-4. Prestonsburg won 27-4 in their recent league match against Betsy Layne (Betsy Layne, KY)
