Virginia High School Softball - Halifax County gets by Franklin County

The Halifax County Comets got by the visiting Franklin County Eagles softball squad by a count of 3-2 in Wednesday's non-league battle.

The Comets (3-2) will now prepare for their battle against Patrick County (Stuart, VA). The Cougars go into the Piedmont battle with a 3-2 record. In their last battle, Patrick County was edged by Tunstall (Dry Fork, VA), 10-7, in a league battle.

The Eagles now sport a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Glenvar for a non-league battle on Friday, April 1. Franklin County will meet a Highlanders squad coming off a 10-6 non-league win over Northside (Roanoke, VA). The Highlanders record now stands at 1-0.
