Prince George Royals (Prince George, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Wednesday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Matoaca Warriors (Chesterfield, VA), 6-0 in a league challenge.
The Royals now own a 2-2 record. They take the field next when they host Colonial Heights for a Central challenge on Tuesday, April 12. Prince George will battle a Colonials squad coming off a 12-0 league win over Hopewell (Hopewell, VA). The Colonials record now stands at 2-2.
With the loss, Matoaca falls to 4-2 on the campaign. The Warriors travel to Dinwiddie (Dinwiddie, VA) to battle the Generals in a Central challenge on Tuesday, April 12. The Generals enter the challenge with a record of 4-1.
