Carlsbad Lancers (Carlsbad, CA) supporters left the game thrilled Thursday as they witnessed their volleyball team run past the visiting La Costa Canyon Mavericks (Carlsbad, CA), 2-0 in a league test.

The Lancers now have a 15-2 record. They put it on the line next when they host Pacific Ridge for a non-league test on Friday, March 31. Carlsbad will confront a Firebird team coming off a 2-0 non-league loss to Del Norte (San Diego, CA). The Firebird record now stands at 1-4.

The Mavericks (0-2) will now prepare for their match against San Dieguito Academy (Encinitas, CA). The Mustangs come into the non-league match with a 18-2 record.
