The Marvin Ridge Mavericks held off the visiting Weddington Warriors volleyball team by a score of 3-2 in Thursday's non-league test.
The Mavericks now have a 4-0 record. They put it on the line next when they host Ardrey Kell for a non-league test on Tuesday, April 4. Marvin Ridge will confront a Knights team coming off a 3-0 league loss to Lake Pointe Academy (York, SC). The Knights record now stands at 2-3.
The Warriors (3-1) will now prepare for their test against Lexington (Lexington, NC). The Yellowjackets enter the non-league test with a 0-1 record. In their last test, Lexington was nudged by Watauga (Boone, NC), 3-0, in a league test.
