The Thomas Jefferson Gryphons soccer team scored 8 points and limited the visiting Burns Bulldogs to 0 in the Gryphons league victory on Thursday.
Next, the Gryphons face the Bessemer City Yellow Jackets (Bessemer City, NC) in a Southern Piedmont 1A/2A contest, on Tuesday, April 4. Thomas Jefferson will attempt to better on its 6-3 season record. The Yellow Jackets enter the contest with a 0-8 record after their 8-0 league loss to East Gaston (Mt. Holly, NC).
The Bulldogs now have a 3-6 record. They take the field next when they host East Rutherford for a non-league contest on Friday, March 31. Burns will face a Cavaliers team coming off a 1-1 league Polk County (Columbus, NC). The Cavaliers record now stands at 6-3.
