Carbon Hill Bulldogs (Carbon Hill, AL) fans exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Winfield Pirates (Winfield, AL), 5-3 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now sport a 13-6 record. They take the field next when they travel to Hale County for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. Carbon Hill will face a Wildcats squad coming off a 6-3 non-league loss to Demopolis (Demopolis, AL). The Wildcats record now stands at 1-6.

With the loss, Winfield falls to 11-6 on the campaign. The Pirates travel to Hamilton (Hamilton, AL) to face the Aggies in a non-league challenge on Monday, April 10. The Aggies enter the challenge with a record of 12-5.
