Trimble County Raiders (Bedford, KY) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Carroll County Panthers (Carrollton, KY), 9-4 in a league challenge.

The Raiders now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host New Washington for a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. Trimble County will battle a Mustangs squad coming off a 4-3 non-league loss to Southwestern (Hanover, IN). The Mustangs record now stands at 0-1.

With the loss, Carroll County falls to 0-1 on the campaign. The Panthers host Shelby County (Shelbyville, KY) to battle the Rockets in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. The Rockets enter the challenge with a record of 0-3. Shelby County lost 17-1 in their recent non-league challenge against North Oldham (Goshen, KY)
