The West Mecklenburg Hawks routed the host Chambers Cougars softball squad by a final score of 31-21 in Thursday's league battle.

The Hawks (3-9) will now prepare for their battle against West Charlotte (Charlotte, NC). The Lions go into the Queen City 3A/4A battle with a 3-5 record. In their last battle, West Charlotte topped Chambers (Charlotte, NC), 11-8, in a league battle.

The Cougars now possess a 1-8 record. They play next when they travel to Queen's Grant for a non-league battle on Friday, March 31. Chambers will meet a Stallions squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Hickory Grove Christian (Charlotte, NC). The Stallions record now stands at 10-3.
