The Northwest Cabarrus Trojans routed the host Concord Spiders softball squad by a count of 25-1 in Thursday's league battle.
The Trojans (2-5) will now prepare for their battle against Lake Norman Charter (Huntersville, NC). The Knights go into the South Piedmont 3A battle with a 2-8 record. In their last battle, Lake Norman Charter was routed by South Rowan (China Grove, NC), 13-0, in a league battle.
The Spiders now sport a 0-10 record. They play next when they travel to West Rowan for a South Piedmont 3A battle on Friday, March 31. Concord will meet a Falcons squad coming off a 7-6 non-league loss to North Iredell (Olin, NC). The Falcons record now stands at 5-3.
