Robert C. Byrd Eagles (Clarksburg, WV) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Elkins Tigers (Elkins, WV), 14-3 in a non-league challenge.

The Eagles now own a 6-2 record. They take the field next when they travel to North Marion for a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 3.

With the loss, Elkins falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Tigers host Grafton (Grafton, WV) to battle the Bearcats in a Big Ten challenge on Monday, April 3. The Bearcats enter the challenge with a record of 2-4. Grafton won 4-3 in their recent league challenge against Lewis County (Weston, WV)
