The crowd at Thursday's league match between the Meridian Hawks (Macon, IL) and the visiting St. Teresa Bulldogs (Decatur, IL), saw Meridian's softball squad achieve victory over St. Teresa by a count of 15-5.

The Hawks now sport a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host MacArthur for a non-league match on Monday, April 3. Meridian will face a Generals squad coming off a 15-0 non-league loss to Mt. Zion (Mt. Zion, IL). The Generals record now stands at 1-3.

With the loss, St. Teresa falls to 1-2 on the campaign. The Bulldogs host Shelbyville (Shelbyville, IL) to face the Rams in a Central Illinois match on Tuesday, April 4. The Rams enter the match with a record of 2-0. Shelbyville won 19-9 in their recent league match against Clinton (Clinton, IL)
