Westfield Bulldogs (Chantilly, VA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Oakton Cougars (Vienna, VA), 17-11 in a league challenge.

The Bulldogs now own a 3-1 record. They take the field next when they host West Potomac for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 1. Westfield will battle a Wolverines squad coming off a 11-2 league win over West Springfield (Springfield, VA). The Wolverines record now stands at 4-1.

With the loss, Oakton falls to 0-6 on the campaign. The Cougars host Meridian (Falls Church, VA) to battle the Mustangs in a non-league challenge on Friday, March 31. The Mustangs enter the challenge with a record of 2-1. Meridian won 10-1 in their recent non-league challenge against Alexandria City (Alexandria, VA)
