Southeast Halifax Trojans (Halifax, NC) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the host Rocky Mount Prep Jaguars (Rocky Mount, NC), 19-9 in a league challenge.

The Trojans now own a 5-4 record. They take the field next when they travel to Northwest Halifax for a Tar Roanoke 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. Southeast Halifax will battle a Vikings squad coming off a 27-0 league loss to Warren County (Warrenton, NC). The Vikings record now stands at 2-3.

With the loss, Rocky Mount Prep falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Jaguars travel to Northampton County (Gaston, NC) to battle the Jaguars in a Tar Roanoke 1A challenge on Tuesday, April 4. The Jaguars enter the challenge with a record of 0-2. Northampton County lost 23-3 in their recent league challenge against Southeast Halifax (Halifax, NC)
