The Stone Tomcats got by the host East Central Hornets baseball team by a count of 3-2 in Saturday's league bout.

The Tomcats now possess a 11-7 record. They take the field next when they travel to Laurel for a 5A Region 4 bout on Tuesday, April 2. Stone will face a Golden Tornadoes team coming off a 12-2 league loss to Wayne County (Waynesboro, MS). The Golden Tornadoes record now stands at 1-6.

Next, the Hornets face the Gautier Gators (Gautier, MS) in a 5A Region 4 bout, on Tuesday, April 2. East Central will attempt to move on its 8-9 season record. The Gators enter the bout with a 8-8 record after their 15-3 league loss to Vancleave (Vancleave, MS).
