The Rio Rancho Rams got by the visiting Sandia Matadors baseball team by a count of 2-1 in Saturday's non-league bout.
The Rams now possess a 14-3 record. They take the field next when they host Atrisco Heritage Academy for a 5A District 1 bout on Tuesday, April 2. Rio Rancho will face a Jaguars team coming off a 3-1 non-league win over Albuquerque (Albuquerque, NM). The Jaguars record now stands at 6-7.
Next, the Matadors face the Farmington Scorpions (Farmington, NM) in a 5A District 2 bout, on Friday, April 5. Sandia will attempt to move on its 12-3 season record. The Scorpions enter the bout with a 7-8 record after their 7-5 non-league loss to Cleveland (Rio Rancho, NM).
