In Saturday's non-league outing, the host Marshfield Pirates softball team scored a close 2-1 win over the Astoria Fishermen.
Coming up next, the Pirates encounter the Junction City Tigers (Junction City, OR) in a 4A Sky Em outing, on Tuesday, April 2. Marshfield will attempt to upgrade on its 6-5 season record. The Tigers enter the outing with a 6-2 record after their 12-9 non-league win over Pleasant Hill (Pleasant Hill, OR).
The Fishermen (5-3) will now prepare for their outing against Tillamook (Tillamook, OR). The Cheesemakers enter the 4A Cowapa outing with a 3-3 record. In their last outing, Tillamook was tipped by Marshfield (Coos Bay, OR), 10-3, in a non-league outing.
