Bruce Trojans (Bruce, MS) fans exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Vardaman Rams (Vardaman, MS), 9-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Trojans now sport a 15-6 record. They take the field next when they host Palmer for a 2A Region 2 challenge on Monday, April 1. Bruce will face a Dragons squad coming off a 30-1 league loss to Bruce (Bruce, MS). The Dragons record now stands at 2-7.

With the loss, Vardaman falls to 4-13 on the campaign. The Rams host Smithville (Smithville, MS) to face the Seminoles in a 1A Region 4 challenge on Monday, April 1. The Seminoles enter the challenge with a record of 11-8.
