The East Columbus Gators softball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Fairmont Golden Tornadoes to 1 in the Gators non-league triumph on Saturday.

With the triumph, East Columbus improves its record to 8-1 on the year. The Gators travel to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC) to clash with the Rams in a non-league game on Monday, April 1. The Rams come into the game with a record of 5-5. Purnell Swett won 11-1 in their recent non-league game against Red Springs (Red Springs, NC)

In their next game, the Golden Tornadoes clash with the Red Springs Red Devils (Red Springs, NC) in a Southeastern Athletic 2A game, on Monday, April 1. Fairmont will attempt to improve on its 1-7 season record. The Red Devils come into the game with a 3-4 record after their 11-1 non-league loss to Purnell Swett (Pembroke, NC).
