Springfield Millers (Springfield, OR) backers exited the stadium thrilled Saturday as they saw their softball squad nip the visiting Mountain View Cougars (Bend, OR), 2-0 in a non-league challenge.

The Millers now own a 3-5 record. They take the field next when they travel to Churchill for a 5A Midwestern challenge on Tuesday, April 2. Springfield will battle a Lancers squad coming off a 10-0 non-league loss to Cascade (Turner, OR). The Lancers record now stands at 1-7.

With the loss, Mountain View falls to 3-3 on the campaign. The Cougars host Madras (Madras, OR) to battle the White Buffaloes in a non-league challenge on Tuesday, April 2. The White Buffaloes enter the challenge with a record of 2-2. Madras lost 10-0 in their recent non-league challenge against Redmond (Redmond, OR)
