The Mitchell Mountaineers the visiting Patton Panthers baseball team by a count of 9-4 in Monday's non-league test.
The Mountaineers now own a 4-5 record. They take the field next when they host McDowell for a non-league test on Tuesday, March 31.
The Panthers (3-7) will now prepare for their bout against East Rutherford (Bostic, NC). The Cavaliers enter the bout with a 10-0 record.
