The Appomattox County Raiders overwhelmed the visiting Buckingham Knights soccer squad by a margin of 9-0 in Monday's non-league challenge.
The Raiders now hold a 2-1 record. They play next when they host Nelson County for a Dogwood challenge on Wednesday, April 1. Appomattox County will encounter a Governors squad coming off a 2-2 league Altavista (Altavista, VA). The Governors record now stands at 2-0.
With the loss, Buckingham drops to 0-4 on the season. The Knights host Randolph-Henry (Charlotte Court House, VA) to face the Statesmen in a James River contest on Wednesday, April 1. The Statesmen enter the contest with a record of 1-4. Randolph-Henry lost 2-1 in their recent non-league contest against Blessed Sacrament-Huguenot (Powhatan, VA)
