The Union Area Scotties overwhelmed the visiting Cornell Raiders softball squad by a count of 18-0 in Monday's league challenge.

Next, the Scotties meet the South Side Rams (Hookstown, PA) in a WPIAL 1A 1 challenge, on Wednesday, April 1. Union Area will attempt to upgrade on its 3-1 season record. The Rams go into the challenge with a 0-1 record after their 15-0 non-league loss to Chartiers-Houston (Houston, PA).

With the loss, Cornell moves to 0-2 on the season. The Raiders travel to Seton LaSalle (Pittsburgh, PA) to encounter the Rebels in a non-league battle on Friday, April 3. The Rebels come into the battle with a record of 2-0.
