Mississippi High School Softball - Wesson knocked off by Loyd Star

March 30, 2026: Brookhaven, MS 39601

In Monday's league test, the Loyd Star Hornets (Brookhaven, MS) softball squad overwhelmed the visiting Wesson Cobras (Wesson, MS), by a count of 9-1.

Next, the Hornets meet the West Marion Trojans (Foxworth, MS) in a non-league test, on Tuesday, April 7. Loyd Star will attempt to upgrade on its 18-2 season record.

The Cobras (4-12) will now prepare for their outing against Clinton (Clinton, MS). The Arrows come into the non-league outing with a 12-10 record. In their last outing, Clinton was routed by Oxford (Oxford, MS), 10-8, in a league outing.
