In Thursday's league battle, the host Aiken Fighting Green Hornets soccer squad scored a close 4-1 win over the South Aiken Thoroughbreds.

The Fighting Green Hornets (7-4) will now prepare for their battle against Midland Valley (Graniteville, SC). The Mustangs go into the AAAA Region 5 battle with a 1-9 record. In their last battle, Midland Valley by Airport (West Columbia, SC), 4-0, in a league battle.

The Thoroughbreds (5-4) will now prepare for their battle against Providence (Lexington, SC). The Panthers go into the non-league battle with a 6-1 record.
