Spectators at Thursday's league match between the Chico Panthers (Chico, CA) and the visiting Red Bluff Spartans (Red Bluff, CA), witnessed Chico's softball squad tip Red Bluff by a count of 9-8.
The Panthers now sport a 5-5 record. They play next when they travel to Pleasant Valley for a match on Tuesday, April 5. Chico will face a Vikings squad coming off a 5-1 non-league win over Colusa (Colusa, CA). The Vikings record now stands at 8-2.
