Murphy Panthers (Mobile, AL) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad run past the visiting Davidson Warriors (Mobile, AL), 9-1 in a non-league challenge.

The Panthers now own a 4-3 record. They take the field next when they host Foley for a 7A Area 2 challenge on Friday, April 1. Murphy will battle a Lions squad coming off a 14-0 league loss to Fairhope (Fairhope, AL). The Lions record now stands at 5-14.

With the loss, Davidson falls to 0-7 on the campaign. The Warriors host Montgomery (Semmes, AL) to battle the Vikings in a 7A Area 1 challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Vikings enter the challenge with a record of 10-15.
