The Houston Hilltoppers softball team scored 7 runs and limited the visiting South Pontotoc Cougars to 5 in the Hilltoppers league triumph on Thursday.

With the triumph, Houston improves its record to 9-6 on the year. The Hilltoppers host Choctaw Central (Philadelphia, MS) to clash with the Warriors in a non-league game on Friday, April 1. The Warriors come into the game with a record of 4-2. Choctaw Central lost 7-2 in their recent league game against Kosciusko (Kosciusko, MS)

In their next game, the Cougars clash with the Pontotoc Warriors (Pontotoc, MS) in a 4A Region 2 game, on Tuesday, April 12. South Pontotoc will attempt to improve on its 8-4 season record.
