Monument Valley Mustangs (Kayenta, AZ) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad achieve victory over the visiting Red Mesa Redskins (Teec Nos Pos, AZ), 12-2 in a non-league challenge.

The Mustangs now own a 2-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to Holbrook for a non-league challenge on Saturday, April 2. Monument Valley will face a Roadrunners squad coming off a 11-10 league loss to Winslow (Winslow, AZ). The Roadrunners record now stands at 8-12.

With the loss, Red Mesa falls to 1-6 on the campaign. The Redskins travel to Joseph City (Joseph City, AZ) to face the Wildcats in a non-league challenge on Thursday, March 31. The Wildcats enter the challenge with a record of 6-4. Joseph City won 13-1 in their recent league challenge against Fredonia (Fredonia, AZ)
