Morro Bay Pirates (Morro Bay, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Nipomo Titans (Nipomo, CA), 8-5 in a league challenge.

The Pirates now own a 9-1 record. They take the field next when they travel to San Luis Obispo for a Ocean challenge on Tuesday, April 5. Morro Bay will face a Tigers squad coming off a 14-4 league loss to Pioneer Valley (Santa Maria, CA). The Tigers record now stands at 9-5.

With the loss, Nipomo falls to 1-10 on the campaign. The Titans travel to Orcutt Academy (Orcutt, CA) to face the Spartans in a Ocean challenge on Tuesday, April 5. The Spartans enter the challenge with a record of 3-11.
