Xavier Prep Saints (Palm Desert, CA) backers exited the stadium thrilled Thursday as they saw their softball squad nip the host Palm Springs Indians (Palm Springs, CA), 12-11 in a league challenge.

The Saints now own a 1-9 record. They take the field next when they travel to La Quinta for a Desert Empire challenge on Monday, April 4. Xavier Prep will battle a Blackhawks squad coming off a 4-3 league win over Rancho Mirage (Rancho Mirage, CA). The Blackhawks record now stands at 14-6.

With the loss, Palm Springs falls to 2-16 on the campaign. The Indians travel to Palm Desert (Palm Desert, CA) to battle the Aztecs in a Desert Empire challenge on Monday, April 4. The Aztecs enter the challenge with a record of 11-7. Palm Desert won 5-2 in their recent league challenge against Shadow Hills (Indio, CA)
