The Andrew Jackson Volunteers baseball team scored 12 runs and limited the visiting Cheraw Braves to 2 in the Volunteers league victory on Friday.
The Volunteers (12-1) will now prepare for their match against Franklin-Simpson (Franklin, KY). The Wildcats go into the non-league match with a 1-7 record. In their last match, Franklin-Simpson gained a win over Bethlehem (Bardstown, KY), 8-4, in a non-league match.
The Braves (1-5) will now prepare for their match against Chesterfield (Chesterfield, SC). The Golden Rams go into the 2A Region 5 match with a 5-7 record. In their last match, Chesterfield was overwhelmed by Lewisville (Richburg, SC), 13-1, in a non-league match.
