The Southern Guilford Storm baseball team scored 11 runs and limited the host Ben L. Smith Golden Eagles to 1 in the Storm league victory on Friday.
The Storm (6-6) will now prepare for their match against Eastern Guilford (Gibsonville, NC). The Wildcats go into the Mid-State 3A match with a 10-2 record. In their last match, Eastern Guilford gained a win over Atkins (Winston-Salem, NC), 10-4, in a league match.
The Golden Eagles (1-10) will now prepare for their match against T.W. Andrews (High Point, NC). The Red Raiders go into the non-league match with a 3-5 record. In their last match, T.W. Andrews was overwhelmed by Morehead (Eden, NC), 20-4, in a league match.
