Louisiana High School Baseball - Hammond holds off Slidell

Hammond Tornadoes (Hammond, LA) fans exited the stadium thrilled Friday as they observed their baseball squad overcome the host Slidell Tigers (Slidell, LA), 10-6 in a league test.

With the win, Hammond upgrades its record to 16-5 on the season. The Tornadoes host Covington (Covington, LA) to battle the Lions in a 5A District 6 test on Saturday, April 1. The Lions come into the test with a record of 11-2. Covington won 6-3 in their recent league test against St. Paul's (Covington, LA)

With the defeat, Slidell falls to 9-16 on the season. The Tigers travel to Ponchatoula (Ponchatoula, LA) to battle the Green Wave in a 5A District 6 test on Saturday, April 1. The Green Wave come into the test with a record of 2-12.
